Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Sailboat Docking Simulator (the “App”) handles information. The App is published by individual entrepreneur [to be completed] (“we”, “us”), see “Contact and developer details” below. It applies to the App on the Apple App Store, Google Play and RuStore. The website docking-simulator.com has its own notice: Cookies & website data.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect any information about you. The App does not ask for, read or send your name, e-mail address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers or any other personal data.

2. Information stored only on your device

The App keeps a single settings file on your device. It contains your language, control and display preferences, sound and vibration settings, which lessons you have read, your best quiz scores and a cached record of your purchase plan. This file never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. Uninstalling the App deletes it.

3. Purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases (“Full access”). Payments are processed entirely by the store you installed the App from:

Apple App Store and StoreKit on iPhone and iPad;
Google Play and Google Play Billing on Android;
RuStore and its payment service on Android devices where the App is installed from RuStore.

The store handles your payment details and your identity. The App only receives the result of the transaction — which plan is active and, for subscriptions, until when — and stores it on your device to unlock content. We do not receive your name, e-mail address or payment details. Stores may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying sales reports.

4. Permissions

On Android the App requests only the permissions needed to talk to the store (internet access and the billing permission) and to vibrate the phone on contact. It does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or storage access.

5. Cookies, analytics, advertising

The App does not use cookies or similar technologies and contains no analytics, advertising, attribution or tracking software development kits.

6. Children

The App is an educational tool rated for all ages. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children. If a child has made a purchase without permission, please ask the store you bought from for a refund.

7. Security

No personal data is transmitted to us, so there is no personal data for us to secure or to lose. Payment security is provided by the stores.

8. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ “On Personal Data” and similar laws you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. As we hold no personal data about you through the App, there is nothing for us to provide, correct or delete. The settings file described in section 2 is under your control and is removed when you uninstall the App. For data held by Apple, Google or RuStore in connection with your purchases, please contact them directly. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

9. Links to other sites

The App links to this website and to the stores’ subscription management pages. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party sites.

10. Changes

If a future version of the App starts processing data, we will update this policy before that version is released and note the change in the release notes. The current version is always published at this address with its effective date.
